When looking to replace my aging laptop at the start of 2026, I realised that I only use basic features like email, web & file browsing and some office software when away from home. So would there be an alternative to yet another Windows laptop? In this talk I'll relate my experiences of using a medium-priced Chromebook for six months, and compare capabilities - and price - with Windows or MacBook alternatives
